I took the van back in to get the job done and driving 5 minutes away from the garage the fault risk of filter blocking come back up. I rang up the garage to speak to the owner, he said to give it a good run and see how it goes. I done a regen again resetting the fault. The day later the code come back again and sent the van back into limo mode. I have been away for a while, and when I have started the C4 Grand Picasso 2014 back up, the Brake light is flashing in the dash. And when I try and drive off the brake will not release. I tried pressing the Electronic Brake button and it just starts flashing. Yesterday when I was driving at 40MPH I suddenly got the parking brake faulty message and On the dash board Auto parking off light, Orange triangle, ABS and ESP lights came up. Stopped the car, switched off and on still getting I have a DS3 Style hd90 2010 which is showing the 'ESP/ASR system faulty message in the warning log and we are having trouble trying to identify the fault. When the car is connected to a vehicle diagnostics tool the message that is returned from the ABS ECU is:- 'Steering wheel angle status interpreted by the ESP - Failure detected' and another Service light came on with a parking brake fault and ESP/ABS light. Citroën garage fault code U1208 (no contact with ECU) Could it be the brake switch? - Click Here - Thanks for any help. Geir from Norway. There are lots of possible faults (below), but you would apparently be most worried about fault C1556 as it may mean replacing the handbrake mechanism. You should first check battery age and condition, connectors, earth points and the harness for a possible rub through near the pedal gear support stay. Finally, the one thing that is really bugging me about this fault is that with this fault the auto park brake does not engage and disengage as it should. However, when I first start the car up if I press the accelerator quick it disengages as normal - almost as if the cars computer brain hasn't had time to remind itself that theirs a fault. Down-grade modes if fault present. Possibility 1. - The anti-lock braking system (ABS) function switches to down-grade mode. - Immediate cutting out of all of the stability control ESP regulation functions. - Hill start assistance function inactive. - Switching of the electric parking brake to manual mode. Possibility 2. I've just bought a C4 Grand Picasso, love the car, super practical and comfy. The electronic dashboard is working fine, but the multi-function screen portion is completely blank. So I have a speedo, rev counter, fuel gauge etc and althought the radio/cd player works I don't get anything up on the screen. Looking at the other fault code: U2000 in relation to the above: "main triggering status word reception anomaly". In other words, the data being received by the ESP is invalid or makes no sense. In light of the previous fault code it would make sense that the info it is getting from the Engine ECU is getting corrupted along the route. Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, I only had such equipment over the weekend. The blocks are thick - 2.5 thousand. driven. I ordered the entire brake module today.
